5 Easy DIY Halloween Party Ideas

Are you planning a Halloween party this year?  Guess what?  Our Fancy That team gathered five super easy Halloween DIY’s to make your party a spooktacular event.



Halloween Wreath DIY | Fancy That

This wreath is inexpensive and super easy to make. Hang on your door to welcome guests into all sorts of fun inside.

Supplies needed:


  1. Press washi tape to the clothespins, alternating colors orange and black. Trim excess washi tape.
  2. Clip clothespins to the inner wire loop.
  3. Once that’s all done print and cut out our cute witches hat. Punch a hole in the top of the hat. Loop twine through the hole and tie to the top middle of the wreath.
  4. Hang it up!  You don’t even need a hook to hang the wreath.  Just use the wire loop on back.



DIY Pumpkin Honeycomb | Fancy That

These little pumpkin cuties look scary cute as a centerpiece on any table.

Supplies needed:

  1. While keeping the honeycomb closed cut a straight line across the bottom through all layers of the honeycomb. This will enable the pumpkin to sit properly on the table.
  2. Once the honeycomb is cut, open it up and hold together with paper clips.
  3. Cut out a simple stem and two thin strips out of your card stock.
  4. Glue the stem to the inside of the top of the honeycomb.
  5. Curl the two stem strips by using scissors like you would curl ribbon. Be careful not to rip the stem strips.
  6. Now glue the curly strips along side of the stem.

Repeat as many times as you would like!  Cute and easy, right?




This adorable garland adds a thrilling element to your halloween party.  It looks darling across a bookcase or mantle!

Supplies needed:

  • Hot glue gun
  • Double sided tape
  • Card stock in white,black and brown 
  • Black pipe cleaners
  • (1) package of white tassels
  • (3) 5” orange honeycombs
  • (3) 10″  black pom poms
  • Twine

For the pumpkin use the honeycomb pumpkin instructions above.


  1. Grab your white tassels and lay them flat.
  2. Punch out three black circles for each ghost – one circle for the mouth and two for the eyes.
  3. Attach to the tassel with double sided tape.


  1. Open up your pom pom using the instructions on the packaging. Hot glue six bent pipe cleaners – three per pom pom side.
  2. Punch out two large white circles and two smaller black circles for each spider. Use double sided tape to assemble the eyes.
  3. Now dab a bit of hot glue to the back of the eyes and press onto the pom pom.
  4. Once all your spiders ghost and pumpkins are done string with twine.
  5. Hang garland across your mantel or bookshelf for an extra scary display.



DIY Confetti Milk Jug | Fancy That

Now that your decorations are taken care of, all the little goblins are going to be thirsty. Here is the coolest party drink you ever!

Supplies needed:

  • Packing tape
  • Sticker paper
  • Sprite
  • Rock candy in any flavor you choose. For Halloween we suggest green apple, purple grape, and orange.
  • Confetti in lime, purple and orange
  • Milk jug


  1. Wrap packing tape around the milk jug sticky side out.
  2. Sprinkle a mixture of confetti on a non stick surface and roll the milk jug in the confetti making sure to cover all sticky places on the packing tape.
  3. Fill milk jug with sprite.
  4. When the goblins are ready,  have them choose their fave rock candy. Once you pour the sprite over the rock candy in a clear glass watch the magic begin. The sprite will bubble and turn the color and flavor of the rock candy. So yummy and fun!

DIY Confetti Champagne Bottle | Fancy That

Supplies needed:

  • Champagne
  • Champagne glasses
  • White cardstock
  • Hole punch
  • Packaging tape
  • Rock candy
  • Confetti
  • Free printable tag
  • Twine


  1. Wrap packaging tape around the lower part of the champagne bottle.
  2. On a non stick surface roll champagne bottle in confetti being sure to cover all sticky places.
  3. Print out your free printable tag and punch a hole in the top. Loop twine through hole and tie to confetti champagne bottle.
  4. Once you are with your witches, pop open the bubbly and pour over your choice of rock candy.
  5. The champagne will bubble and turn the color and flavor of the rock candy. So delish. Drink if you dare!
