DIY Pumpkin Centerpiece

PUMPKIN HONEYCOMB CENTERPIECE

DIY Pumpkin Honeycomb | Fancy That

These little pumpkin cuties look scary cute as a centerpiece on any table.

Supplies needed:

  1. While keeping the honeycomb closed cut a straight line across the bottom through all layers of the honeycomb. This will enable the pumpkin to sit properly on the table.
  2. Once the honeycomb is cut, open it up and hold together with paper clips.
  3. Cut out a simple stem and two thin strips out of your card stock.
  4. Glue the stem to the inside of the top of the honeycomb.
  5. Curl the two stem strips by using scissors like you would curl ribbon. Be careful not to rip the stem strips.
  6. Now glue the curly strips along side of the stem.

Repeat as many times as you would like!  Cute and easy, right?

Happy crafting!

Mermaid Party Ideas

Mermaids, unicorns, pineapples! Oh my! This year for my daughter’s 8th birthday we went on a shopping trip to where else – Fancy That! I let her pick out some supplies for her party – and when you’re the birthday girl you can pick out whatever you want! She chose to mix and match, because it’s hard to choose just one thing when everything is so cute!

Mermaid Party

What’s the most important thing at a party? The cake! Or cupcakes in this case. We used Meri Meri’s adorable Mermaid Cupcake Kit to make chocolate cupcakes with blue frosting and “sand.” To create these cute cupcakes I added blue food coloring to the frosting. Once the cupcakes were frosted I dipped half of them in the “sand” (crushed graham crackers), and added the adorable toppers! Oh and I can’t forget the number 8 sparkler candle!

Plates and napkins are also a must at any party! My sweetie chose the Unicorn & Rainbow plates and some super fun pineapple napkins.

Fancy That’s signature sixlet favors were a huge hit with the party girls!

To make the party a little more festive, I made some seaweed to place around the room. To make the seaweed I used some of our mint green tissue paper. I folded a few sheets in half and cut strips almost up to the fold (careful not to cut through the fold).

Are you loving the mythical creature trend as much as we are?!

Milestone Birthday Ideas

milestone birthday ideas fancy that

At Fancy That, birthdays are a pretty big deal. We have just the thing to add a little extra fancy to your birthday celebration!

My current must have for any birthday is this black and white pennant flag. It’s perfect to add onto any gift! You could use fun washi tape and secure it to the outside of a birthday package. This flag would make a great gift bag topper too! I love the idea of using this as a dessert topper surrounded by candles! It comes in a few other fun sayings too such as: “I’m still hot, it just comes in flashes now”, “40 is the new black”, “50 is the ultimate F word” and “Still fun at 60”.

Instead of birthday candles this year, why not get something memorable like these mini milestones sparklers! They are just darling on any birthday dessert. They are just like sparklers on the 4th of July. Light them and watch the magic unfold! These mini milestone sparklers are available in: 21, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70. We also have large individual number sparklers too! Seriously fun at any age.

Stop by Fancy That to add a little fun and a whole lot of sparkle to your next birthday celebration!

Fancy as always,

Angela

Pretty Little Package

Fancy That Gift Packaging

I love giving gifts.  Really, it’s so much fun.  Sometimes, I think it is even more fun than getting them … but, I hope my hubby doesn’t get any crazy ideas!

Part of the fun for me is putting together something that really makes people say, “Yaaas!” as soon as they see it.  Luckily, I know a place that has some pretty fab options to make sure every gift is delivered in a pretty little package.

My latest obsession, is our signature gift boxes.  Available, in three sizes and in all of our shoppe colors – pink, turquoise and lime.  They really are a perfect fit for just about any gift.  My sister is getting married in Hawaii in a couple of weeks.  So, of course I wanted to give her gift the fancy treatment.  I started with our signature box in turquoise, because it reminded me of the ocean.  Then I decided to add ‘gift bar extras’ and sprinkled it with a little shred, tied a ribbon and finally used the most perfect little sticker – promising, “a treat for you,” inside!

I mean, it doesn’t get much better than this.  And, I just cannot wait to give it to her.  I hope she likes what’s inside as much as she likes the outside!

Stay fancy!

Brunch Gift Box Ideas

brunch so hard

Brunch is always a good idea! Sleeping late and indulging in all my breakfast favorites. Brunch is especially fun with friends and when there’s champagne involved! Am I right?

Looking for a perfect gift for the brunch lover in your life? I’ve pulled together two brunch themed gift boxes to get the party started.

This rise and shine gift box is for anyone who loves to brunch, but first, must have coffee!  I love this darling coffee mug. Whether it’s a “champagne for breakfast” kind of day or not, this mug makes a sparkly statement. Pair it with sleepy head hazelnut coffee to get the morning up and running. A rise and shine shower burst delivers eye opening aromatherapy of tangerine and mint right to your shower. It’s the perfect pick me up before hittin’ the brunch table. Toss in a fun sparkler card, a few champagne truffles and a metallic bottle stopper to make your brunch box complete!

Need a gift for that hardcore bruncher who doesn’t mess around?  Wake up and pop the bubbly!  This brunch box has everything you need to kick your brunch into high gear.  It has two super cute champagne flutes that say, “champagne for breakfast” and “mornings are for mimosas”.  Fun rose gold straws for sipping and a metallic bottle stopper are a must.  Don’t forget the corkscrew that says “brunch so hard”.  A brunch staple for sure!  To make your gift extra festive, add in some champagne and pink bubbly truffles, a rise and shine shower burst and a mini sparkler to celebrate how fantastic brunch is!  Oh how I’d love to get a brunch box like this!  Would’t you?

Next time you’re ready to brunch so hard, stop by Fancy That and stock up on the essentials. We’d love to help you pull together one of these fantastic brunch gift boxes too!

Cheers,

Angela
