DIY Balloon Piñata Eggs

Looking for a fun and unique idea for your Easter baskets this year?  Why not try out these fun balloon pinata eggs!  These little balloons are filled with small treats, toys and of course confetti!  They are such a cute addition to any Easter basket.  Want to know the best part?  You have to pop the balloon to get the loot inside! How fun is that?!

Here’s how to create your own balloon pinata Easter eggs:

What you’ll need:

11 or 12 inch balloons in assorted colors or patterns
Confetti
– Small trinkets, candies and/or gifts.  Use your imagination here, just be sure to  keep it small.  (We have kits available here)

To assemble your balloon pinata eggs, stretch the opening of the balloon as wide as you can and begin putting in your goodies.  Don’t forget a few pinches of confetti!  Next simply blow up the balloon to your desired size and tie it off.  It’s that simple!

Isn’t it cute?  It looks like a giant Easter egg!

Place balloon pinata eggs in your Easter baskets or hide them around your house or yard for the ultimate Easter hunt!  These would also make great party favors at your next birthday celebration too.  Fill balloons with treats for party guests to take home!

Fancy as always,

Angela

Cute DIY Easter Bunny

Easter is almost here!

We are pretty smitten with this cute Easter Bunny made with a honeycomb ball and paper!  Super simple! So make one or two of these super cute little honey bunnies (get it…honeycomb + bunny…honey bunny)!

These little cuties are so easy to make! Here’s what you will need:

Supplies

5″ Honeycomb ball

Card stock in 3 different colors (I used silver, pink and black)

Hot glue

Printable guide (print out on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper)

Print out the guide on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, then cut out the shapes. Trace the cutouts onto your card stock. For the ears and eyes I traced just one and then folded the paper in half and cut. Hot glue the inner ear to the outer ear, then hot glue the completed ears onto the honeycomb ball. Make sure the string to hang the balls is at the top of the head.

For the eyelashes cut along each of the vertical lines to make fringe, then cut every other piece off. This is a little tricky, but it makes the lashes more noticeable. Hot glue the lashes to the ball.

Next cut out the nose and hot glue to the honeycomb ball. You can add whiskers, but I chose not to.

Place the little bunnies on your Easter table or outside at your Easter egg hunt.

There you have it! A fun and fast Easter craft. What kind of Easter crafts, besides dying eggs, do you do at home?

Hoppy trails!

Katie
